Evaluation of exercise capacity using wave intensity in chronic heart failure with normal ejection fraction

New research shows that the second peak of wave intensity (W(2)) effectively assesses exercise capacity in heart failure with normal ejection fraction (HFNEF). This novel measure is more reliable than traditional echocardiography for evaluating patient exercise performance.

- W(2) shows greater clinical utility than conventional TTE indices for evaluating exercise capacity in this population.
- Further research may validate W(2) as a standard clinical metric for HFNEF management.
