[Comparative efficiency of 3 experimental ultrasonic instruments in vivo]

A clinical study was performed to compare the in vivo effectiveness of three different instruments for calculus removal. The instruments were Odontoson, Cavitron and Siroson. Following scaling of the roots, the teeth were extracted, stained and assessed for remaining calcareous deposits. Comparative statistical analysis revealed no significant differences among the three methologies.
