Summary

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) can be engineered into lentiviral vectors (LVs) for gene therapy and vaccination against HIV/AIDS. These non-replicative vectors efficiently deliver therapeutic genes, showing promising preclinical results for AIDS vaccine development.
