Summary

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) revealed white matter changes in both classical amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and lower motor neuron (LMN) ALS variants. These microstructural changes correlate with disease severity, supporting LMN variants as part of the ALS spectrum.
