Abstract:
The forensic examinations to determine cause of death allow study of the natural development of untreated diseases. In this study we retrospectively analysed malignant and/or intracranial tumours in a consecutive series of 7020 autopsies in northern Sweden. We found cancer in 171 cases in all, where sudden death was caused by previously undiscovered tumours in 41.
