Pneumococcusuria: From bench to bedside

Pneumococcusuria, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae in urine, occurred in six patients with predisposing factors. Five patients with urinary tract infection (UTI) symptoms were successfully treated, highlighting S. pneumoniae as an emerging UTI pathogen.
