A rare case of a ruptured liver abscess in a 17-day-old neonate caused by Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is presented. The infant showed signs of septicemia and abdominal distension, leading to surgical discovery of pyoperitoneum and the abscess.
