Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine the association between backpack weight and the prevalence of back pain and back pathology in school children.
  • To assess the proportion of students carrying backpacks that exceed recommended weight limits.

Main Methods:

  • A cross-sectional study was conducted in Northern Galicia, Spain.
  • 1403 school children aged 12-17 years were analyzed.
