Summary

New speech recognition test materials were developed using a basic English lexicon. These less linguistically biased materials aid speech recognition testing for both native and non-native English speakers.

  • The developed Basic English Lexicon materials offer a comprehensive sentence set.
  • These materials are suitable for speech recognition testing across various listener groups, including non-native English speakers.
