Abstract:
Recent advance of therapeutic intervention makes immunotherapies disease-modifying therapy for Alzheimer's disease. Several lines of evidence indicated that melatonin or indole structures are candidates for disease-modifying agents in Alzheimer's disease. We herein reviewed the in vivo efficacy of melatonin in a transgenic model of Alzheimer's disease and discuss about a potential of melatonin agonist for treating Alzheimer's disease.
