Keratin 8 variants are associated with cryptogenic hepatitis

Novel keratin 8 (K8) variants were identified in patients with cryptogenic hepatitis, suggesting a potential genetic predisposition to this liver disease. These K8 variants were not found in healthy controls, highlighting their specific association with the condition.
