The national Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program (PHBPP) successfully reduced chronic hepatitis B virus infection in infants, despite a rise in births to infected mothers. Gaps persist in identifying at-risk pregnancies and ensuring complete infant management for optimal prevention.
