Summary

Early stroke assessment using the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) can predict patient outcomes. A low NIHSS score (<5) suggests a good prognosis, while a high score (>22) indicates a poor outcome.

  • A cohort of 154 patients with transient ischemic attack or ischemic stroke was analyzed.
