Abstract:
The laparoscopic resection of small benign hepatic lesions located peripherally is described in three cases. The histology revealed adenomas in two patients and a focal nodular hyperplasia in a third patient. The area of resection measured between 9 and 15 cm2. Following laparoscopic endosonography with localisation of adjacent vascular structures to the tumor the lesion was resected by combined ultrasonographic dissection (endocusa) and clipligature. Bloodloss was limited to a maximum of 130 ml. The time of hospitalisation was 3 to 5 days.
