Caudal vena cava kinking in dogs with ascites

In dogs, caudal vena cava kinking can be a consequence, not the cause, of ascites (abdominal fluid buildup). This study experimentally induced ascites to investigate the relationship between vena cava obstruction and peritoneal effusion.
