Hemifacial spasm resulting from vertebral artery dolichoectasia

A case of hemifacial spasm revealed an uncommon cause: vertebral dolichoectasia compressing the facial nerve. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) confirmed the diagnosis, and botulinum toxin injections provided symptom relief.
