Glucocorticoid effects in vitamin D intoxication.

    Summary

    Prednisone effectively treated hypercalcemia in a hypoparathyroid patient with vitamin D intoxication. The treatment reduced serum calcium and urinary calcium excretion by decreasing calcium release from bones.
