Abstract:
Benchmarking with other organizations is an important component in achieving best practice and the highest level of quality patient care. When more than 1 benchmark exists for the same metric, choosing which one to use can be challenging. Considerations are discussed for the selection of the best benchmark to use to ensure that an organization is striving for top performance.
