Short-term changes in intraocular pressure after phacoemulsification in glaucoma patients

Phacoemulsification surgery can increase intraocular pressure (IOP) in both glaucoma and normal patients. Oral acetazolamide effectively controlled postoperative IOP spikes in primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients.
