Summary

Psoriatic skin shows no detectable Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 beta) in blister fluid, yet IL-1 beta is found intracellularly and on cell membranes of epidermal cells. Dermal fibroblasts may be a key source of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) in psoriasis lesions.
