Summary

Thoracic sympathectomy, a surgical treatment for hyperhidrosis, is safe and effective. This study shows single-port thoracoscopic sympathectomy offers a minimally invasive option with no complications.

  • Conventional surgical approaches may involve longer recovery times and potential complications.

Observation:

  • This study analyzed three patients (1 male, 2 female; mean age 27.6) with palmar and/or axillary/dorsal hyperhidrosis.
  • Patients underwent single-port thoracoscopic sympathectomy.
  • Data collected included operative time, complications, and hospital stay duration.

Findings:

  • Mean operative room time was 70 minutes (range: 30-120 minutes).
