Abstract:
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(9)Br(2)ClN(2)O(2), contains two independent mol-ecules. Both mol-ecules adopt an E configuration about the C=N bond. The dihedral angles between the benzene rings are 30.0 (2) and 51.6 (2)° in the two mol-ecules. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the b axis. In addition, there is an intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bond in each mol-ecule.
