Summary

Hairy root (HR) cultures, derived from Agrobacterium rhizogenes, offer stable, fast-growing plant biotechnology with applications in metabolite production and phytoremediation. Ongoing research explores genetic engineering and bioreactors for industrial scale-up and new discoveries.
