Summary

This study highlights a rare case of sterile corneal perforation following cataract surgery in a patient with pre-existing dry eye disease. Prompt management is crucial for visual recovery.

Findings:

  • The patient developed sterile corneal perforation despite preservative-free drops and lubricants.
  • Non-compliance with lubricant drops was noted.
  • Visual acuity improved with treatment, including steroid drops, lubricants, and punctual plugs.
