Correlation between age and Chromogranin A determination in prostate diseases

Serum Chromogranin A (CgA) levels are influenced by age in prostate cancer (PC) patients. Age is a confounding factor, and CgA is not a reliable diagnostic marker for PC, but rather indicates neuroendocrine differentiation.
