Endoscopic anterior craniofacial resection (CFR) offers a viable alternative for anterior skull base tumors. This minimally invasive approach demonstrated high complete resection rates and favorable survival outcomes in a recent study.

  • High complete resection rate (91%) with a low complication rate (6%).
  • 5-year overall survival was 70%, and disease-free survival was 85% with 9% recurrence.
  • Conclusions:

    • Endoscopic anterior CFR is a safe and effective alternative to open surgery for anterior skull base malignancies.
    • Proper planning is crucial for successful outcomes with this minimally invasive approach.
