Summary

This study reveals distinct brain responses to thematic reversal anomalies in English verbs. Agent-Subject Verbs (ASVs) and Experiencer-Subject Verbs (ESVs) show different event-related potential (ERP) profiles, particularly the N400 effect in ESVs.
