[Three theses on urethral disease]

Objective:
To inform about three doctorate theses on urethral stenosis, presented in the University of Paris and Montpellier by Spanish authors.
Material And Methods:
Of the Canary Island students who studied medicine in France during the xix century and beginning of the xx century, three stand out for having chosen the same subject for presentation of their doctorate thesis.
Results:
We briefly analyze their biographies, placing special emphasis on the content of their doctorate thesis.
Conclusions:
Urethral stenosis was a very mentioned disease during the period studied due to its high incidence. We distinguish the therapeutic changes contributed in the three theses studied.
