Summary

Main Results:

Achieved narrow angular emission patterns with Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) of ± 35° and ± 18°.
Demonstrated effective pattern shaping with minimal stray light.
Observed intensity enhancements exceeding a factor of two in the forward direction due to photon recycling.

Conclusions:

The demonstrated micro-optical method successfully shapes the emission pattern of large area OLEDs.
The technique offers a viable solution for applications requiring directional light emission and improved efficiency.
Further improvements are possible by increasing the reflectivity for enhanced photon recycling.
