Valve-sparing root reconstruction does not compromise survival in acute type A aortic dissection

Aortic valve-sparing root replacement (VSRR) techniques, including David and Yacoub procedures, show similar midterm durability for acute type A aortic dissection (AAAD) repair. These VSRR methods do not compromise survival compared to the Bentall procedure.

- Neither the David nor the Yacoub VSRR technique compromises short-term or midterm survival when contrasted with the Bentall procedure for AAAD.
