[The effect of oxygen barotherapy on gastric secretion in patients with chronic gastritis]

Patients with functional disorders of the stomach, chronic gastroduodenitis, chronic gastritis with secretory gastric insufficiency subjected to hyperbaric oxygenation (partial oxygen pressure-0.250.225 MPa, exposition-60 min) revealed an increase of gastric secretion and acidity indices. This stimulating effect in conditions of hyperbaric oxygenation was observed only in patients with initial hypochlorhydria.
