Summary

Odontogenic myxoma, a benign jaw tumor, can cause pain and tooth issues. Surgical resection offers a good prognosis, with this case showing no recurrence after one year.

  • Odontogenic myxoma is a recurrent, benign neoplasm.
  • It can cause pain, tooth mobility, and dysesthesia.
  • Malignant transformation is rare, with good prognosis after enucleation.

Observation:

  • A 53-year-old woman presented with a growing mass in the right geniana region.
  • Imaging revealed a poorly delimited hypodense central lesion.
  • Histopathology confirmed Odontogenic myxoma.

Findings:

  • The lesion was located in the right upper jaw, posing a unique challenge.
  • Surgical en bloc resection with safety margins was performed.
  • A one-year follow-up showed no complications or recurrence.
