  • A cohort of 43 patients with ultra-low rectal cancer underwent curative partial ISR.
  • Postoperative defaecatory function was assessed using questionnaires at 3, 6, and 12 months.
  • Faecal continence was measured by Wexner score, and anal manometry evaluated sphincter function.
