Dorsal midbrain syndrome from a ring-enhancing lesion

A solitary ring-enhancing lesion in the brainstem caused dorsal midbrain syndrome in a patient with malignant melanoma. The lesion was treated with stereotactic radiosurgery.

Background:

- Stereotactic radiosurgery can be an effective treatment for solitary metastatic brain lesions.
