  • 27 participants with stable COPD used a pedometer and website for 90 days, uploading daily step data.
  • Participants received weekly individualized step goals via email and accessed educational/motivational content online.
  • Feasibility was assessed through user feedback, and safety was monitored through self-reported adverse events. Paired t-tests analyzed changes in step counts.

Main Results:

  • The intervention was feasible, with high adherence to daily step goals (96%) and high recommendation rates (95%).
  • Participants with COPD significantly increased their daily step count by an average of 1263 steps (p=0.0054).
  • Most users reported no issues with the pedometer (87%) or website (65%).
