Changes in gene expression profile in human subcutaneous adipose tissue during significant weight loss

Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) surgery normalizes gene expression of leptin, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ1 (PPARγ1), and 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11βHSD1) in adipose tissue of obese women, correcting obesity-related alterations.
