[Intensive chemotherapy regimens in pulmonary tuberculosis with concomitant diabetes mellitus]

The author studied the tolerability of modern intensive regimens of tuberculosis chemotherapy in patients with concomitant diabetes mellitus as compared with a traditional three-drug treatment. The number of side-effects with these treatment methods did not essentially differ. Neurological disorders were among the most frequent in patients with this associated pathology receiving chemotherapy and their frequency increases in the presence of diabetic complications.
