Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the resting electroencephalographic (EEG) activity in adults diagnosed with dysfunctional anger.
  • To compare EEG measures, specifically relative power in beta and alpha bands and frontal alpha asymmetry, between adults with dysfunctional anger and controls.

Main Methods:

  • Resting EEG was recorded from 15 adults with dysfunctional anger and 14 healthy controls.
  • Analysis focused on relative power in beta (specifically beta-1) and alpha bands.
  • Absolute frontal and parietal alpha asymmetry was also assessed.
