Frozen nerve grafts treated with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) show comparable functional recovery to fresh nerve grafts for rat sciatic nerve repair. Cryopreserved nerve grafts offer a viable alternative to fresh grafts, improving outcomes over untreated frozen grafts.
