Structural aspects of mitochondrial translational apparatus

Recent advances in cryo-electron microscopy have revealed the structure of cellular translational machinery, including mitochondrial ribosomes. This review highlights progress in mammalian mitochondrial ribosome structure and discusses future challenges for high-resolution determination.
