Breastfeeding is linked to a lower risk of postpartum depression (PPD) in Arab women. Postpartum depression may also reduce breastfeeding rates, indicating a reciprocal relationship.

  • To investigate the correlation between breastfeeding and the incidence of postpartum depression (PPD).
  • To explore the predictive relationship between breastfeeding practices and PPD in Arab women.

  • A prospective study involving 137 Arab women assessed during pregnancy and postpartum.
  • Correlation of breastfeeding status with PPD outcomes (EPDS, MINI), employment, and formula use at 2 and 4 months postpartum.
