Summary

Transvaginal tape (TVT) and transobturator tape (TOT) show similar efficacy for stress urinary incontinence (SUI). While TVT offers a slight, non-significant advantage at 2 years, TOT has more unique adverse events, and TVT has more serious ones.

  • While TVT had more serious adverse events, TOT was associated with a higher number of unique adverse events.
