Summary

Recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) combined with calcium phosphate matrix (CPM) effectively promotes bone formation in primate defects. This rhBMP-2/CPM treatment avoids transient bone resorption, showing promise for human bone healing.
