Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the clinical characteristics, causes, and outcomes of 260 patients with erythroderma over an 11-year period.
  • To analyze clinical-histological correlations and describe survival rates for specific erythroderma etiologies.

  • Retrospective review of clinical, laboratory, and biopsy data from 260 erythroderma patients treated between 2001 and 2012.
  • Epidemiological, clinical, biological, and histological data were recorded, along with treatments and outcomes.

  • The study highlights a high prevalence of erythroderma secondary to pre-existing dermatoses and a low rate of malignancy-associated cases.
  • Repeated evaluations, close patient follow-up, and skin biopsies are crucial for managing erythroderma effectively.
