Published Endodontic Articles in PubMed-Indexed Journals from Iran

Background:

• This survey analyzes statistical data on endodontic research published in PubMed-indexed journals.

• To illustrate statistical information and bibliometric indicators of endodontic research from Iranian universities.

• Mashad University of Medical Sciences was the leading institution, contributing 16% of the articles, with higher average citations from Google Scholar than Scopus.

Conclusions:

• Endodontic research output from Iranian universities has shown considerable growth.
• The increasing publication trend signifies the rising importance of research within Iranian academic institutions in the field of endodontics.
