Pancreatic insufficiency in HIV: is it possible?

Pancreatic involvement is common in AIDS patients, but exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is not directly linked to HIV severity or highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART). Fecal elastase levels were lower in HIV patients but remained above the clinical threshold.
