Summary

Tinnitus in individuals with normal hearing sensitivity did not show significant differences using extended high-frequency (HF) audiometry or auditory-evoked brain-stem responses (ABR). These findings suggest tinnitus may not stem from cochlear or brain-stem auditory pathway damage in normal listeners.
