Summary

Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, presents varied symptoms and is diagnosed via endomyocardial biopsy. This biopsy reveals myocarditis in a significant percentage of patients with unexplained arrhythmias and idiopathic congestive cardiomyopathy.
