[Challenges and present situation in private practice in psychiatric Day Hospital and other intermediate devices]

Abstract:
The daily clinical practice in Psychiatric Day Hospitals has experimented several changes in the last recent years. These changes are the result of numerous situations: new laws, extensions and reductions in therapeutic covering from pre-paid medical services, social security, new follow up programs for outpatients, more access to disability certificates, better possibilities to provide free-cost medications to chronic ill patients. However, on the other hand, the popularization of clinic works, statistics, and -over all- training of professionals is still scarcely frequent, so that its inclusion could be considered as part of the many therapeutic alternatives for severe ill patients.
