  • A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted.
  • Sixty-eight healthy volunteers received 600 mg of dried garlic powder daily for 15 weeks.
  • A two-week wash-out period preceded the intervention.

Main Results:

  • A significant reduction in total cholesterol was observed after 10 weeks (223 to 214 mg/dL).
  • Triglycerides showed a numerical decrease but did not reach statistical significance.
  • Blood pressure and placebo groups remained unchanged.
